Melanie Gardner is a Bedford native who began her broadcast career by working at several radio stations in western Pennsylvania followed by TV work in Harrisburg and Lancaster. Most recently, Melanie was a traffic anchor at the Traffax Command Center.

A Shippensburg University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Melanie occasionally returns to her alma mater as a guest speaker, and is currently working toward her Master of Science degree.

Melanie supports her community by participating in the Walk for Diabetes, biking in the American Diabetes Association's Tour deCure and donating to the United Way. She was also a dog foster parent for PAWS and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two young children, and playing Bunco.
